India, Oct. 2 -- DA Hike Central Government Employees: For millions of central government employees and pensioners, the wait for the next Dearness Allowance revision has entered a crucial phase. The inflation-linked numbers needed to estimate the July 2026 revision are now available, giving employees a clearer picture of what the next salary and pension adjustment could look like.

The latest AICPI-IW data has shifted the estimate from the earlier 63% projection. After the July 2026 index reading was released, calculations indicated that the DA could move to around 64% from the existing 60%. However, the final rate will depend on the Union government's formal decision.
