Just hours after Cristiano Ronaldo walked out of Portugal's camp in Copenhagen and flew to Madrid, the forward's family and national team manager Jorge Jesus engaged in an extraordinary war of words.

Ronaldo's elder sister, Elma Aveiro, launched a scathing social media attack, accusing the management of cold-blooded betrayal and claiming the country deserves to return to footballing mediocrity without her brother.
