India, Nov. 5 -- Cristiano Ronaldo's legendary international career has come to an end, but Portugal are not prepared to let their greatest footballing icon walk away without a proper send-off. The Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) has confirmed its intention to organise a special farewell tribute following the 41-year-old's announcement of international retirement on November 5.

Ronaldo brought the curtain down on a remarkable 23-year journey with Portugal, during which he established himself as the country's all-time leading goalscorer and most-capped player. While his decision marks the end of an era, supporters could still get an opportunity to celebrate his extraordinary contribution to the national team.
