India, May 24 -- A Bhopal Court on Saturday sent Twisha Sharma's husband Samarth Singh, booked in an alleged case of dowry demand, to seven-day police custody. Samarth Singh withdrew his anticipatory bail plea from the Madhya Pradesh High Court on Friday (May 22).

As per PTI report, Singh was produced before Judicial Magistrate First Class Anudita Gupta in Bhopal who remanded him to 7-day police custody.

Meanwhile, a police officer arrived at the residence of Giribala Singh, mother-in-law of deceased Twisha Sharma, in Bhopal on Saturday and said he had come to serve a High Court notice in connection with the case.

Speaking to reporters outside the residence, the officer said, "I have brought a High Court notice."
