Congress keen on clean sweep in RS elections
India, June 7 -- Party confident of victories across states amid shifting electoral equations.
Even as Congress named its party president Mallikarjun Kharge, national party spokesperson Pawan Khera and data analytics head Praveen Chakravarty among the seven candidates for the Rajya Sabha elections from five states, the party is hopeful of winning on all seven seats.
Kharge on Friday filed his nomination papers for his re-election from his home state of Karnataka in the presence of Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, former Chief Minister and CWC member Siddaramaiah, Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar and state unit chief B.K. Hariprasad.
