India, Sept. 27 -- The Congress is stepping up its organisational preparations in Uttar Pradesh as it seeks to rebuild its political presence ahead of the 2027 Assembly elections, with the party focusing on strengthening its cadre, identifying winnable constituencies and preparing for eventual seatsharing negotiations with the Samajwadi Party. Sources within the Congress told The Sunday Guardian that the party is currently concentrating on rebuilding its organisational machinery through the Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan.
