India, July 26 -- India's men's 4x200m freestyle relay team booked its place in the final of the 2026 Commonwealth Games after delivering a solid performance in the heats in Glasgow. The quartet of Dhakshan Shashikumar, Aneesh Gowda, Aryan Nehra and Srihari Nataraj clocked 7:39.48 to finish sixth overall, securing a spot in the medal race.

Competing in Heat 2 alongside Australia, England and Jersey, the Indian team produced a composed swim to progress comfortably after Canada withdrew from the event. Meanwhile, Scotland topped Heat 1, with Wales, Malaysia, the Cayman Islands and the Isle of Man following behind as the finalists were confirmed.
