India, July 29 -- India maintained their position in the top 10 at the Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow after yet another historic day on July 28, Tuesday. Propelled by the stellar performances of Gulveer Singh and Harjinder Kaur, the Indian contingent added two more silver medals to their haul, taking India's total medal count to 12: two gold, seven silver, and three bronze. The Day 6 outing placed India in ninth position on the overall standings. Weightlifting has been the undisputed bedrock of India's success, contributing six of these medals.
