India, Aug. 1 -- India added another medal to its judo campaign at the 2026 Commonwealth Games as Yamini Mourya won the silver medal in the women's 57kg category after a hard-fought final against England's Acelya Toprak. While Mourya finished with silver, it capped another impressive day for the Indian contingent on the judo mat.

Earlier, Asmita Dey made history by winning the women's 48kg gold medal with a 2-1 Yuko victory, dedicating her landmark triumph to her coach and remembering the support of her late father. Soon after, Harsh Singh followed up with a dominant Waza-Ari (10-0) win over Australia's Joshua Katz in the men's 60kg final, giving India its second judo gold medal of the Games and completing a memorable day for the sport....
