India, Aug. 1 -- India's dominance in track and field at the Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow continued in spectacular fashion as para-athletes Soman Rana and Shubham Juyal claimed gold and silver, respectively, in the Men's Shot Put F57 event at Scotstoun Stadium on August 1, Saturday. This marks India's first-ever double podium finish in this specific event at the Commonwealth Games.

The seasoned Soman Rana clinched the gold medal, throwing with a best mark of 13.40m, achieved in the second attempt. However, in the first attempt itself he had reached 13.38, enough to take home gold. Third attempt was a foul, and the rest was below 0.20 as follows:
