India, Oct. 11 -- Columbus Day 2026 will bring a different schedule for US financial markets on Monday, October 12, as stock traders prepare for a regular trading day while bond investors face a holiday closure. The federal holiday, also observed as Indigenous Peoples' Day in many communities, will affect banks and Federal Reserve operations, but it will not stop trading on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) or Nasdaq.

Investors will need to pay attention to the differences between stock, bond, futures and cryptocurrency markets before planning their trades.
