India, March 23 -- A Colombian military aircraft carrying more than 100 soldiers crashed shortly after takeoff in the country's southern region, raising serious concerns about casualties and safety. Authorities confirmed that the aircraft was involved in an accident near Puerto Leguizamo, a remote area close to the border with Peru.
The incident occurred during routine troop movement operations. The aircraft involved was a Hercules C-130, a widely used military transport plane known for carrying personnel and cargo over long distances.
Initial reports suggested that the aircraft lost control moments after taking off, leading to the crash just a few kilometres from an urban settlement.
