India, May 22 -- Days after India's viral Cockroach Janta Party dominated social media conversations, a similar online movement has now surfaced in Pakistan under the name "Cockroach Awami Party" (CAP), triggering comparisons between the two neighbouring countries and their frustrated youth populations.

The Pakistan-based meme movement has rapidly gained traction on Instagram and X, where users are using satire, humour and political memes to criticise inflation, unemployment, rising education costs and political culture.
