India, July 10 -- Severe flooding in China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region has sparked an unusual public safety emergency after more than 900 snakes, including venomous cobras, escaped from submerged commercial breeding farms. Authorities have launched a large-scale operation to capture the reptiles while setting up temporary medical clinics to treat potential snakebite victims. The floods have also damaged livestock farms, destroyed crops, and allowed more than 100 zoo animals to escape, compounding the disaster.
