India, June 16 -- With the electricity department carrying out maintenance work in the city, various areas in Chennai will face scheduled power cuts again on Tuesday, June 16, 2026. According to the official announcement, the power supply will be suspended from 9 am to 2 pm. Because of this, the power supply will remain suspended for a few hours in the affected areas. The power supply will be restored as soon as the maintenance work is complete. While authorities have stated that power could be restored earlier, it ultimately depends on how quickly the linemen can finish working in the affected areas.
