India, July 29 -- The summer business continues at Stamford Bridge, with Chelsea signing Danny Welbeck from Brighton to bolster their attack ahead of the 2026-27 season. Since Xabi Alonso took charge, they have landed several fresh faces, including both promising youngsters and experienced veterans. Welbeck falls in the second category. The 35-year-old forward, who graduated from the Manchester United youth system, made his professional senior debut under the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson back in 2008.
