India, Sept. 21 -- The Chicago Bears suffered a major scare on Sunday afternoon when second-year franchise quarterback Caleb Williams went down with an apparent non-contact leg injury during the fourth quarter of a 9-3 loss to the Minnesota Vikings at Soldier Field.

Williams was assisted off the field by medical staff and subsequently carted to the locker room. The team officially confirmed shortly before the final whistle that Williams sustained a right hamstring injury.
