India, Aug. 17 -- New Delhi is set to host the 30th BWF World Championships from August 17 to 23, bringing badminton's biggest global title back to India for the first time since 2009. The prestigious tournament will be staged at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Arena, with 64 men and 64 women competing in singles, along with 48 pairs across the three doubles events, over seven days.

The BWF World Championships remain one of the sport's most coveted events, with players competing for world titles and championship glory. Unlike many major sporting tournaments, however, the event does not offer prize money to its winners, keeping the focus firmly on the honour of becoming a world champion.
