India, Oct. 27 -- In a major success against cross-border narcotics smuggling, vigilant troops of the Border Security Force (BSF) recovered two packets of suspected heroin weighing approximately 5.3 kilograms from the depth area of R.S. Pura sector in Jammu during the early hours of Monday.
The recovery came as part of a special anti-smuggling operation launched by BSF on the basis of precise intelligence input. According to officials, on October 26, BSF Intelligence received credible information about a possible attempt by Pakistan-based smugglers to push narcotics into Indian territory. Acting swiftly, a special ambush was laid in the depth area of R.S. Pura.
