Breaking: Sukhbir Badal attacked in Nanded Sahib, taken to hospital
India, Aug. 13 -- Shiromani Akali Dal leader and former Punjab deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal was attacked at Nanded Sahib in Maharashtra on Thursday while he was on a private visit with his family members.
According to preliminary reports, an unidentified assailant attacked Badal, but his personal security guard intervened and prevented the attacker from causing more serious injuries.
Badal sustained an injury to his arm and was subsequently taken to a private hospital for treatment. His condition was not immediately known.
