India, Aug. 19 -- Shocking scenes unfolded in the Parana province of Brazil recently when a bus and a truck collided with each other, killing 23 and injuring 5. A probe has been launched.

What Happened in Southern Brazil?

At around 3 AM local time, a minibus and a freight truck, registered out of Erechim (Rio Grande do Sul), had a head on collision after which both vehicles crashed on the BR 373 highway in Southern Brazil. According to locals, the minibus belonged to the health authorities of the nearby city of Imbituva and was transporting patients and their relatives to health appointments in Ponta Grossa , located 60 kilometres away from the city.
