Chandigarh, Aug. 6 -- There are reports of a major explosion in Mohali, Punjab. The incident occurred at an oxygen gas cylinder factory where a powerful blast claimed the lives of two people. Around half a dozen others are reported to have been injured in the accident.

The factory is identified as Hi-Tech Gas Private Limited, located in Phase 9. It is noteworthy that Mohali has witnessed cylinder explosion incidents in the past as well.

For instance, on November 27, 2024, two individuals were injured in a blast during illegal cylinder refilling in a village in Mohali.
