India, June 16 -- Vaibhav Sooryavanshi will not face disciplinary action or warnings from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) following a high-tempered, controversial altercation with Sri Lankan players in Dambulla. Amid speculation that the board would penalize the young opening batter for his post-match conduct, BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia officially put the rumors to rest.

Speaking to Sportstar, Saikia confirmed that the governing body will not intervene, stating that the board wants the players to fully concentrate on the ongoing tournament rather than being distracted by collateral issues.
