India, Sept. 25 -- Beverley Callard, best known for playing Liz McDonald in Coronation Street, has revealed that an ambulance was called to the set of Irish soap Fair City after she lost consciousness while preparing to film a scene.

The 69-year-old actress, who has been undergoing treatment after being diagnosed with early stage breast cancer earlier this year, has continued working on her new Fair City role while also keeping fans updated about her health.

But her latest day on set took an unexpected turn when she suddenly lost consciousness for several minutes.
