India, Sept. 13 -- The long weekend is not ending for every bank customer in India. As Monday, September 14, approaches, several bank branches will remain shut because of Ganesh Chaturthi and other regional observances. However, the holiday does not apply nationwide, making it important for customers to check the schedule for their specific city before heading to a branch.
The closure comes immediately after the second Saturday on September 12 and Sunday, September 13. Customers in some regions will therefore get a three-day break, while banks in Odisha and Goa will remain closed for four consecutive days from September 12 to September 15.
