India, Sept. 19 -- Bank customers should plan their branch visits carefully next week as physical bank operations will be affected by regional holidays as well as the regular weekend closures. Between September 21 and September 27, 2026, bank branches will remain shut on six dates in different parts of the country.

The closures will not apply uniformly across India. While some banking centres will observe regional holidays linked to local festivals and commemorations, September 26 and September 27 will be holidays for bank branches across the country because of the fourth Saturday and Sunday.
