India, July 31 -- The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has updated its holiday calendar for August 2026. And according to that, major banks across India will be closed for 14 days next month.

In August 2026, SBI, HDFC, ICICI and other prominent banks in India will remain closed for 14 days. Some of these holidays are due to festivals, while others are falling on weekends.
