India, June 6 -- The box office saw a pretty crowded weekend with a handful of big releases landing on the same day more or less. In it all, Bobby Deol's much talked about thriller Bandar opened with a surprisingly modest first day, kind of lower than people were expecting. The both audiences and critics have been praising the film for its intense narrative and those strong, almost hard-hitting performances, mostly Bobby Deol's gritty portrayal. But still, the initial footfalls, they simply didn't match the high expectations that got built up during the promotional stretch.
