India, Aug. 11 -- Before Awarapan 2 arrives, it is worth taking a quick trip back to the story that made Shivam one of Emraan Hashmi's most memorable characters. Released in 2007, Awarapan follows Shivam Pandit (Emraan Hashmi), a troubled gangster and atheist whose life changes when he is asked to keep an eye on his boss Bharat Malik's (Ashutosh Rana) mistress, Reema (Mrinalini Sharma). What starts as another dangerous assignment soon forces Shivam to confront his own painful past, his beliefs and the guilt he has carried for years.
