India, May 10 -- The BJP winning 82 seats in Assam is not just an electoral victory. It is a political phenomenon that has broken many traditional assumptions of Assamese politics. Along with its allies, the AGP and BPF securing 10 seats each, the National Democratic Alliance touched a figure that even many within the BJP ecosystem may not have imagined before the polls. On the other side, the Congress was reduced to 19 seats, while Raijor Dal and AIUDF managed two each, and the Trinamool Congress one.
