India, Sept. 30 -- Asmita Dey has reached the bronze medal contest in the women's 48kg category after progressing through the repechage round. She will face Mongolia's Ganbaataryn Narantsetseg in the bronze medal bout, with the contest scheduled for 1:45 PM IST on Wednesday.

Dey began her campaign with a victory over Vietnam's Ha Ngoc Chi in the Round of 16 before losing to Kazakhstan's Abiba Abuzhakynova in the quarterfinals. She bounced back in the repechage, defeating Hong Kong, China's Wong Ka Lee to keep her medal hopes alive.
