India, Sept. 16 -- India's women's cricket team are heading to Japan with another title in sight. Fresh from their Women's Asia Cup triumph, Harmanpreet Kaur and her side will now turn their attention to the Asian Games 2026, where India will look to defend the gold medal they won in Hangzhou.

The women's cricket event begins on September 17 and will be played in the T20 format at Korogi Sports Park in Aichi. Eight teams are part of the tournament, with the competition following a straight knockout format. India enter the tournament from the quarter-final stage.
