India, Oct. 4 -- India wrapped up its Asian Games 2026 campaign in Aichi-Nagoya with a strong finish, adding nine medals on the final day, including five golds, to end the Games with 21 gold, 27 silver and 37 bronze medals. The 85-medal haul placed India fourth in the overall standings, ahead of Uzbekistan on silver-medal count despite both nations finishing with 21 golds. Although India fell short of its 106-medal tally from Hangzhou 2022, the campaign featured several historic performances across multiple disciplines.
