Wicketkeeper-batter Richa Ghosh provided the ultimate finish with an explosive, unbeaten 49 off just 22 deliveries to propel India to a mammoth 216 for three.

Taking first strike after winning the toss at the Korogi Sports Park in Nisshin, the Women in Blue fired on all cylinders right from the outset.

With the prestigious gold medal on the line, the Indian batters dismantled the Sri Lankan attack to register the highest total in Asian Games women's cricket history.
