Anthony Edwards' $14K Child Support Order: Why NBA Star Must Pay For Son He Has Never Met
India, Aug. 21 -- NBA star Anthony Edwards has been ordered to pay $14,000 a month in child support to his former partner Alexandria Desroches for their son Amir, according to court documents obtained by TMZ. The Minnesota Timberwolves guard will also have to cover more than $21,000 in legal fees and take out a life insurance policy worth around $2.6 million, with Desroches named as the primary beneficiary.

The child-support amount is higher than the basic figure of around $3,200 a month. The court considered Edwards' reported monthly income of nearly $4.8 million while deciding the final amount.
