India, Sept. 23 -- Ankush Panghal begins his Asian Games 2026 boxing campaign on Wednesday as the Indian boxer takes on Hamsa Vogel of Bahrain in the men's 80kg round of 16 at the Nishio Gymnasium in Aichi-Nagoya.

The bout was initially listed for around 10:15 AM IST, but that timing has now moved. The boxing session is running behind schedule, with an earlier bout still underway before Anvar Nasredinov vs Mohammed Usaith Yazmin takes place. Ankush and Vogel will enter the ring only after those bouts are completed.

Ankush arrives in Aichi-Nagoya as one of India's key names in the men's boxing squad. The 80kg boxer is making his Asian Games debut, but he comes into the tournament with fresh Commonwealth Games success behind him.
