India, Dec. 29 -- Tripura Student Murder Latest News: Anjel Chakma, a student from Tripura, died following an alleged racial attack in Dehradun. The MBA student and his brother, Michael, were reportedly attacked by a group of men near a liquor shop on December 9. As per sources, the altercation began after the attackers allegedly passed racial remarks. Anjel later succumbed to his injuries on Friday, December 26.

The Daily Guardian spoke to Tarun Chakma, the father of a 24-year-old student. "He told me he will come home for Christmas. He couldn't even complete his exams," said Chakma.
