India, Oct. 22 -- American Express outage reports increased on Thursday, October 22, as customers reported difficulties accessing their accounts, loading the mobile app and using online services.

According to the figures provided from Downdetector, reports varied significantly across updates, with one snapshot recording 1,073 reports at 10:19 p.m. and another update indicating that more than 5,000 users had reported problems. Downdetector collects user-submitted reports to identify potential service disruptions however, an increase in complaints does not independently confirm a company wide outage. The latest figures suggest that some customers may be experiencing difficulties with American Express services.
