India, Aug. 10 -- Alabama Special State Senate Election 2026: Voters in State Senate Districts 25 and 26 will return to the polls on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, after a federal court ruling changed the status of the Montgomery-area districts and Alabama returned to its 2021 Senate map.

The special election is being held to determine the candidates who will compete in the November 3, 2026 General Election. Importantly, there will be no special primary runoff for SD-25 or SD-26.
