India, Aug. 9 -- Centre establishes four AI centres to drive innovation across education, healthcare, agriculture and sustainable cities.
The Centre has established four Centres of Excellence (CoEs) in Artificial Intelligence (AI), including a newly announced AI-CoE for Education at IIT Madras, as part of its vision to "Make AI in India and Make AI work for India", the Ministry of Education informed Parliament.
In a written reply to the Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for Education Dr. Sukanta Majumdar said that three AI-CoEs in the sectors of agriculture, sustainable cities and healthcare were launched following the Union Budget 2023-24 announcement with a total outlay of Rs 990 crore.
