India, Nov. 2 -- Former India internationals Vijay Shankar and KS Bharat have registered for the Afghanistan Premier League (APL) player draft scheduled to take place in Dubai on November 3, 2026.

Former Indian leg spinner Murugan Ashwin has also entered the registration process, adding another familiar name from the Indian domestic and IPL circuit to the overseas player pool.

The registrations come as the three cricketers explore opportunities in overseas franchise cricket after stepping away from different levels of Indian cricket.

However, registration does not guarantee selection, with franchises set to make their choices during the upcoming draft.
