India, Jan. 22 -- Central government employees and pensioners are eagerly awaiting updates on revised pay scales and pensions following the implementation of the 8th Pay Commission. The commission, headed by Ranjana Prakash Desai, is expected to determine the fitment factor and submit its report to the government. Once finalized, the new pay and pension revisions will impact employees across Groups A, B, C, and D.
If the fitment factor for the 8th pay commission is 2.15, the projected revised payouts can be-
Level 1 (Entry-level, Group D): Current basic pay is Rs.18,000; revised to Rs.38,700, increasing to approximately Rs.20,700.
