India, Sept. 22 -- The 72nd National Film Awards 2026 will be presented on Tuesday, September 22, with President Droupadi Murmu set to honour this year's winners. The prestigious ceremony is being held at Ekta Nagar in Kevadia, Gujarat, near the Statue of Unity. It is the first time the National Film Awards ceremony is being hosted outside New Delhi.

The 72nd edition will honour achievements in Indian cinema for 2024, with 92 winners receiving awards across various categories. Veteran Kannada actor Anant Nag will also receive the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for 2024.
