Udhampur, Aug. 7 -- Two CRPF personnel lost their lives and 12 others were injured after a vehicle carrying them skidded off the road and rolled down a deep gorge near Kandva in the Basantgarh area of Jammu and Kashmir's Udhampur district on Wednesday.
According to sources, the CRPF vehicle was travelling along the Kandva-Basantgarh road when it veered off the track and plunged into the gorge. Local residents, along with police teams, rushed to the spot and launched immediate rescue operations. The injured personnel were evacuated and shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
