India, March 30 -- According to recent accounts, police arrested at least 75 individuals when a "No Kings" protest in downtown Los Angeles turned violent Saturday evening outside the Metropolitan Detention Center, only hours after tens of thousands marched peacefully through the city. Organizers stated that at least 8 million people attended more than 3,300 events in all 50 states, making it the largest single-day nonviolent protest in modern American history.
