India, July 24 -- Sometimes divorce settlements can be a pricey affair. And a tech businessman in South Korea recently discovered that after a court ordered him to pay over half a billion dollars to his former wife, in a case that is being hailed as the country's 'divorce of the century'.

Chey-Tae Won Directed by Court to Pay 644 Million to Ex Wife

Chey Tae-won, a South Korean business magnate and chairman of the SK group has been directed to pay 644 million dollars, or 944 billion dollars to his former wife Roh Soh-yeong as a part of the divorce settlement. This is a noticeable dip from the previous amount of 1.8 trillion which Won was ordered to pay.
