Moscow, Oct. 1 -- Russia said this week that it was analyzing the potential delivery of Tomahawk cruise missiles from the United States to Ukraine, warning the move could lead to a major escalation in the conflict.

The remarks came after US Vice President JD Vance said that Washington was considering a Ukrainian request for Tomahawk missiles. President Donald Trump has not made a final decision, Reuters reports, but discussions reflect his frustration over President Vladimir Putin's refusal to agree to a ceasefire after their meeting in Alaska last month.
