US, Oct. 16 -- I was born and raised in Kolkata and went to Presidency College and Calcutta University. All my childhood memories are centered around Kolkata. My nostalgia about Kolkata is especially intense during this Puja season.

I wanted to capture this nostalgia in a painting showing key images of Kolkata that are permanently ingrained in my head. I decided to show them in a collage format with the likeness of myself as a child at the center.
