India, Feb. 7 -- Union Jal Shakti Minister CR Patil on Saturday said that water from the Indus River will not be allowed to flow to Pakistan, as the Centre has made all the preparations to divert it for India's benefit.
Patil, while talking to reporters at the BJP headquarters in Jaipur, according to the news agency said, "A Detailed Project Report (DPR) has been prepared to ensure proper water diversion. Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Delhi will gain from the additional water."
He also highlighted that work on the Yamuna water project would be expedited to improve water management in beneficiary states.
