India, Aug. 11 -- Two police sub-inspectors died and another was injured in a road accident on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway at Tengan in Lasjan area on Monday, officials said.

The incident occurred when three officers were travelling from Srinagar to Jammu after completing Amarnath Yatra duty. The injured officer was taken to hospital, where Sachin Verma and Shubham were declared brought dead, while Mastan Singh is undergoing treatment.

Police have launched an investigation into the accident.
